Serve at Valmont
Serving others is an important part of our life together at Valmont.
We believe faith is lived out through generosity, compassion, and practical care for our neighbors. Whether through local partnerships, seasonal collections, hands-on service, or simply noticing when someone needs help, we seek to be Christ’s witness in the world around us.

Caring for Our Neighbors
Valmont has a long tradition of supporting people and organizations throughout the Boulder-area community.
Through donations, collections, volunteer efforts, and partnerships with local nonprofits, our congregation helps respond to needs such as food insecurity, education, housing, and support for children and families.
Our opportunities to serve change throughout the year, giving everyone a chance to participate in meaningful ways.

Deacons' Caring Ministry
Valmont’s Deacons help lead the congregation in caring for both our church family and the wider community.
Throughout the year, the Deacons organize special collections and service opportunities supporting a variety of local and broader ministries. They also help provide care through visits, phone calls, prayer, and practical assistance when members of our congregation are in need.

Sharing What We Have
One of Valmont’s greatest resources is the space we have been entrusted with.
For generations, our church building and grounds have been used not only for worship but also as a gathering place for community groups, support organizations, educational opportunities, celebrations, and other local activities.
Offering hospitality through our physical space is one way we seek to practice generosity and strengthen our connection with the community around us.

Serving Beyond Valmont
Our commitment to mission extends beyond our immediate neighborhood.
Over the years, Valmont has supported missionaries, disaster-response efforts, ministries serving children and families, and other organizations working throughout the country and around the world.
Through prayer, financial support, collections, and hands-on participation, we seek to be connected with the wider work of the Church.

Ways to Serve
Serving does not always require a major commitment.
It might mean bringing an item for a collection, baking cookies, helping with a church project, volunteering with a community partner, contributing financially, caring for someone who is going through a difficult season, or offering your own gifts and abilities where they are needed.
Every act of care matters.

Get Involved
There is a place for everyone to serve at Valmont.
Watch for current opportunities during worship and in church communications, or contact us to learn where your time, talents, and interests might be most helpful.
Together, we can love our neighbors and put our faith into action.
